What is it.

This webinar offers a comprehensive overview of the Caregiver Online Psychoeducation (COPE) resource. COPE is a free evidence-based digital tool designed for children, youth, and their families who have experienced trauma. Developed by researchers, clinicians, and caregivers, COPE offers immediate access to practical strategies that help families better understand and respond to the effects of trauma. The webinar covers how to register, navigating resources, and practical ways to use the tool.

Presenters Dr. Cailey Hartwick and Dr. Nicole Racine shared how they have integrated COPE into their practices, demonstrating how it can empower parents and caregivers to better support their children.

How can it help me?

CYACs offer support services to children, youth, and their families including information, education, and referrals to mental health services. However, families often experience long wait times to access specialized care. COPE helps to bridge this gap by offering evidence-based education that families can access right away. CYACs can use COPE not only to provide immediate support but also as a tool to initiate meaningful conversations with families who receive services from CYACs.
