How can it help me?
Medical evaluation and treatment is an important part of a multidisciplinary response to child abuse and neglect. It is critical for MDT partners to understand the purpose of a medical exam, including both the benefits and challenges. Trauma-informed approaches to medical examination are paramount and all MDT partners play a role to support this service. By increasing understanding and awareness of medical evaluation and treatment, MDT partners are better equipped to support children, youth and their families throughout medical services.
